Attendance, Cutting, Tardiness, and Make-Up Work Policy

Given the highly experiential and participatory nature of both the Massage Therapy Program and Reflexology Program, regular and timely attendance is essential. It is important to note that classes begin and end as scheduled in the catalog. All absences and latenesses are recorded in the attendance book and students will be required to make up any missed time before being allowed to graduate. Two late arrivals or early departures (or combination of the two) equal one absence.

All absences must be made up in one of the following ways:

  1. The student attends a makeup class scheduled at a different time other than the usual class time.
  2. The student participates in private tutoring, with approved faculty, at a rate of $25 per hour. One hour of private tutoring equals four hours of class time.
  3. Snow makeup days will be held at no expense to the student. Students should call the school for an inclement weather announcement. Announcement will be posted by 7:00am on days of questionable weather.
  4. The student may write a four page report, single spaced typed, on the topic that was discussed during the class when they were absent. This report counts as a makeup for a missed class.
